About Me
My name is Peter Bevan Murray. I currently live in Southern Orange County. I am married and have two wonderful beach loving sons, ages 10 and 3. They keep me young and amaze me everyday. I was born about seven miles from Wall Street in New York City and moved to California when I was 8 years old. I grew up in Palos Verdes and have lived most of my life in Southern California.
I have been in the mortgage industry for 15 years. I have proudly closed over $315 million in loans during my career. With hard work and loyalty to my customers, I have managed to survive this up and down industry. I take great pride in my work and rely mostly on repeat and referral business.
Before I became a loan officer, I raced motorcycles competitively. It was an amazing experience. I traveled to Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Costa Rica, Hawaii and different parts of Europe to race. In 1988, I packed my bags and moved briefly to Germany to live and race professionally. It was an experience that I will never forget. Not only did I learn to appreciate the simple American pleasures such as peanut butter, I learned how convenient everything here is in the states and how lucky I am to be living here.
My other hobbies are riding road and mountain bikes, skiing, jet skiing and surfing. I enjoy the outdoor life.
At the age of 33, I took a different path and learned about Mortgage Lending. My first job was at American City Mortgage, where I closed primarily FHA and VA loans. I was there for approximately 3 years. During that time I met Brian Rodgers, my current Broker and the proud owner of Dove Mortgage Corporation. I began working with him in 1994 and I am still working with him today.
Here at Dove Mortgage I am able to offer a menu of different products including HELOCS, second trust deeds, interest-only loans, stated income loans, jumbo products, FHA loans, VA loans, conforming loans and reverse mortgages. My total fundings here at Dove Mortgage have been just under $200 million. Dove Mortgage is a great company and I am very proud to be part of their team. I am very confident in my work. I know the industry well and have many reliable parties that I can count on daily, such as Notaries, Escrow Officers, Title Officers and Lenders.
